This week on KENTUCKIANA MOTORSPORTS Presented by Jim Beam®, a detailed look at the 2nd Annual ACL Fanfest coming July 17th in Jeffersonville. NASCAR drivers Jack Sprague and Ron Hornaday will be there as well as former Cup driver Andy Houston, ARCA Stars Frank Kimmel, Bobby Gerhart, and Gabi DiCarlo. Also NASCAR Legends Charlie Glotzbach, Bill Kimmel Sr., and Andy Hampton. The Leigh Ann Yost Band will provide entertainment, and Mr. Magic, Jeff Russ will perform. It is a free family event from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at JEFFBOAT in Jeffersonville. There will be a special pit crew demonstration and a driver autograph session. Those at the ACL Fanfest will have a chance to win dozens of prizes and race tickets.

“The ACL Fanfest on Thursday is just the beginning of a great weekend of racing” said Tim Bray with the Kentucky Speedway. Bray is special guest this week to talk about both the ARCA and NASCAR Craftsman Truck races at the Kentucky Speedway Friday July 18, and Saturday July 19. “We expect a big crowd in for the Built Ford Tough 225. Kyle Busch will be racing along with the other Craftsman Truck greats” added Bray.

Also this week a look at the Coke Zero 400 and action at local tracks.

It will be standing room only when the NASCAR Nationwide Series hits Kentucky Speedway next week. “We are urging fans to get those tickets. The stars of the Nationwide Series including Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards invade the track one-hour north of Louisville next week. This weekend the Frank Kimmel Enduro II takes place at Kentucky Speedway, located about an hour north of Louisville just off Interstate 71. The NASCA Sprint Cup drivers are off this week getting ready for the next super speedway race at Talladega. Meantime local racing action continues to heat up. Cooler weather may be settling in the Kentuckiana area but that is not
stopping thousands of fans from seeing the action this weekend at the
Salem Speedway (About 30 minutes form Louisville). "We're ready and
expect a good crowd" said"Richard Deaton, General Manager of the
half-mile high banked track. This week KENTUCKIANA MOTORSPORTS
presented by Jim Beam(r), a preview of what fans can expect this weekend
at Salem Sunday for the ARCA 200. Some of the biggest names in ARCA will
be there: 9-Time Champion Frank Kimmel, Lucas Oil Driver Bobby Gerhart,
Matt Carter, Scott Speed, Sprint Cup regular Ken Schrader, and rising
stock car and female racer, Gabi DiCarlo. "I love Salem. It is so much
fun there" said DiCarlo. The 22 year old west coast driver is a special
guest this week on KENTUCKIANA MOTORSPORTS. DiCarlo will talk Salem and
provide some expertise on what it takes to compete in ARCA. Viewers will
have a chance to see her car upclose during its visit to the studios of
WBKI-TV, The CW Louisville. Lucas Oil is a sponsor of DiCarlo. Her main

This week the NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers get the weekend off for the Easter Holiday. However, NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick talks about the incident with fellow driver, Tony Stewart on KENTUCKIANA MOTORSPORTS presented by Jim Beam(r). KENTUCKIANA MOTORSPORTS RACING Expert Scott Douglass weighs in on the Bristol mishap, and looks ahead next week to Martinsville.

"I am ready. Looking forward to racing again" said NASCAR Legend, Charlie Gotzbach. The southern Indiana driver is returning to racing. He'll explain when and where on the only half-hour locally produced racing show this week. Also, a sneak peak at out next on-location shoot at Charlie Appliance.
